Mega Medical Camp

  • Conducted with IMA for Municipality Employees (nearly 1000 members screened, treatment advised).

  • Instrumental in organising with the District Corona monitoring officer, the District Collector & Commissioner.

Tree Plantation Programs

  • Conducted with ROTARY, District Collector, Superintendent of Police, Municipal Commissioner at various places in Thanjavur to break lockdown monotony.

  • Jointly organised on World Environmental Day with the District Collector, Municipal Commissioner, and Clean Thanjavur movement.

Cycle Rally

  • Organised with Rotarians (approx. 300 members) to create awareness about Corona Prevention and promote health/physical fitness during lockdown.

Donations to the COVID Ward

  • Through TMC Alumni as Vice President, donated 15 Water Heaters for the Corona ward to the dean in the presence of the District Collector.

Ambulance Donation

  • Through ROTARY, donated a 2-Wheeler Ambulance to Vinayaga Mission Institution, Karaikal, for serving interior COVID-affected village people.

Services in Hills and Tribal Areas

  • Distributed groceries & vegetables to 100 families in a tribal area during the COVID pandemic period.

Leadership as Dean

  • Served as DEAN (FAC) for 6 months, during which he organised various activities.

Student Engagement

  • Encouraged students to form the Rotaract Club.

  • Served as Staff Advisor for medical college students for 10 years, amicably settling many student-related issues.

Public Awareness Activities

  • As an Assistant Professor and Professor of Paediatrics, I involved colleagues in organising numerous Public Awareness activities such as Breastfeeding Week Celebration, World Asthma Day, and Movement against TB.

  • These activities were appreciated by both District and State administrators.

Alumni Association Development

  • Played a vital role in the establishment of the Thanjavur Medical College Alumni Association.
