2. What are the clinical features?

- Fever, irritability, and malaise.
- Tender erythema starting around the mouth, nose, or diaper area.
- Skin changes: Rapid progression to widespread erythema, blistering, and exfoliation.
- Nikolsky sign positive: gentle pressure causes skin to slough off.
- Distribution: Begins on the face, neck, axillae, or groin, then spreads to trunk and limbs.
- Mucosa: not involved
